1. Probably for the Royal Botanic Society’s exhibition of spring flowers at Regent’s Park. Mrs. Bayne had sent RB tickets for the previous year’s exhibition (see letter 5218, note 1). The dates of this year’s showings were 19 March, 9 April, and 30 April, the ticket price being “2s. 6d.” (see The Daily News, 2 March 1864, p. 4).
