Offered for sale by Union Art Galleries, auctioneers, New York, 23 May 1934, lot 62. 1½ pp., 8vo. RB responds to Blundell’s [1] request that he take care of some letters, and adds: “if you ever come this way of a morning, I am nearly sure to be at home, and shall be happy to see you again—although we can get little pleasure out of our memories, I fear.”

1. Bezer Blundell (1808–90), solicitor and member of RB’s conversational group, “The Colloquials” (see letter 2198, note 6). He was a son of Bezer Blundell (1781–1849) and his wife, Elizabeth (née Ostler, 1781–1843). He is listed in RB’s first address book (AB-2) at “Mitre Court, Temple.”
