My dear Mr Browning

I must thank you for the very friendly and acceptable present of your new Volume of Poems. [1] I am going into the country, but fear that I shall not be settled for a week or two—after that I shall hope to enjoy some leisure, and, I am sure that quiet green fields, and pleasant shades, will enable me to draw more pleasure from your Poems, and give me more power of fitly appreciating them, than this truly whirling London, of which I am heartily weary.
