Dear Lady Lluellyn, [1]

I feel your goodness very deeply but cannot profit by it to-morrow, glad as I should be to do so. I have a particular engagement for the afternoon—two engagements, indeed, could I find myself relieved of one by any chance. Of course it would be most interesting to me to see Mr Herberts’ work, [2] as well as that of my old friend Maclise. [3]

I shall certainly call on the earliest occasion and enjoy at least your experience while waiting for my own.
