Dear Miss Barrett

Today I am to take Miss Mitford to the Zoological to see the Giraffes and afterwards to the Diorama– Now if you would like to take this opportunity of passing an hour or two with an amiable person whom you will, I am sure, like, and who is prepared to like you, you must accept the spare seat in our carriage. In this case I will call on you towards three o Clock, and render you home about five–

Ion went off “famously”—as I hear– I was not there, but reached Talfourd’s about Midnight and found a number of interesting folk none more so than the Master of the house. —Send a verbal answer.
