Do not come to me tomorrow dear Perida. I am going to a distant church & shall not be home till quite late. You may think of me on Monday if you will for it is my birthday. [1] I don’t much like anniversaries, but they bring some pleasant thoughts—what has been in this last year can never lose it’s value for me.
