Dear Mrs Ford,
I find my boy has got the measles this morning, and I won’t bring you that plague, if I can help it. [1]
There is no use in saying how sorry I am. When all fears of infecting you vanish, I shall venture to call.
Yours very faithfully
Robert Browning.
Publication: None traced.
Manuscript: George Clive.
1. RB had accepted an invitation to dine on 11 February (see letter 5534).
