My dear Sir

I am sorry I cannot give a good report of my searches after the Franceschini murder. I enclose a list [1] made by Mr Bond [2] of the mss department of collections or works which may contain something on the subject; and as for the general account of the state & topography of Arezzo I have got by me in my study some histories of that city. I think however, you will not lose your time if you come here and ask for me when possibly something more will be found; & please bring with you the pleading & account you have of the trial.
