Dear Sir,
I am very much obliged for the Photographs [1] —which seem,—at least, the two we originally preferred,—admirable in every way. The little heads, except the top and bottom specimens, don’t please me; on the other hand, the large one is probably best of all: I enclose a slip with the autograph signature you desire for it.
As for the owl, I will bring him with pleasure, [2] if you wish—but it must be after my return from Paris, whither I go to-morrow—for a fortnight only.
