Dear Robert–
When you were in Paris in October last I shewed you a Book I possessed entitled Samuel Shuckford’s Sacred & profane History: Vol I. 2d Editn [1] (which as London abounds with Publick libraries you will have no difficulty in referring to)– Then, Read from p 107 to 146 for the origin of Languages; & from 217 to 256—for the writing: I thought there would be less trouble in doing this than there would be by sending you the Book—Especially a[s] Mr Milsand wishes very much to see it–
