My dear Allingham,

By a blunder, but no forgetfulness nor indifference, I assure you, I let a day go by without answering your letter. Come here, and very welcome, whenever you please: I have got a guest, [1] and don’t dispose of my time altogether freely,—will you come here at one o’clock on Monday? I shall be happy if you can. Call it, “to lunch.”
