My dear Sir,

I have directed Macmillan to forward to you a copy of my small Catullus. [1] I am anxious that it should reach you, as I feel sure it will interest a lover of Catullus.

You promised me in the summer that you would communicate to me some emendations of Landor’s on Catullus. [2] Those in the Foreign Quarterly, [3] I have already got: if you know of any others of his, I should feel much obliged if you would forward them to me–

4. Robinson Ellis (1834–1913), classical scholar and Fellow of Trinity College, Oxford. He had been a student of Benjamin Jowett at Balliol College.
