My Dear Sir,
Long has it been my wish to unite your name, so highly esteemed also on the Continent, with my series and hearing from my friend Williams [1] that you are disposed to this publication, I cannot forbear to say how very happy I am to see my long nourished wish fulfilled. [2]
Though I should be glad to see your volume, published in a time not too far, I should by no means like any thing inconvenient to you: Please therefore to do it quite at your leisure. In all other respects Mr. Williams is requested by me to do all to meet with your views as far as ever possible[.] [3]
After this publication I shall be glad to print the poems of the late Mrs Browning, if convenient to you.
