Thanking RB for a quotation, which Watts intends to use as the basis for an illustration, he writes: “You always do me good by sympathy with my intentions, which is more encouraging and gratifying than any praise bestowed upon my work can be to me, for I always feel ‘praise undeserved is censure in disguise.’”
