Correspondence

554.  RB to William Charles Macready

As published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, vol. 3, 16.

[London]

[January 1837] [1]

My Dear Macready,

I propose leaving the 4th act with you, on the night of “La Vallière”)—I fancied it useless to let you have it before.

I have taken a cursory look at your adversaries in Strafford, seeing it on the table: I shall remedy every oversight, I am sure, out of an aftercrop of thoughts.

Your’s ever faithfully,

Robt. Browning.
