Correspondence

5938.  Edward Rowden to RB

As published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, 32, 227.

Oxford

July 9t 1867.

Dear Sir

Your letter and its enclosure have reached me safely—and I have already done myself the pleasure of laying it before a small meeting of our Hebdomadal Council–. But in the absence of so many of its members, and indeed of nearly the whole University. It will not be expedient to publish till the return of the University at the end of October next–

Believe me

Yours very truly

Edward Rowden
