Thank you very much for your kindness & consideration.

I kept away purely for the reason I gave you,—a complimentary one altogether. You should see me often enough if I could do you any real good,—there may be something superfluous in this care about myself now-a-days, perhaps, but it is a care I must take–

It is very kind of you to complete your liberal present of Mr Dyce’s book: [1] do you know I never received volume 8?
