I beg pardon for asking whether there is any “hitch” in our little affair, to cause the delay in my hearing from you? Don’t in the least scruple to say so, if there be. Also, a letter may have miscarried as it is [sic] occasionally does,—that is why I write, not in the least because of hurry,—still less, impertinence. I know your kindness will excuse
