Dear Browning

We expect a visit from Jowett on Wednesday next (22d)[.] On asking him whom he would like us to ask to meet him, he named you. We therefore hope you may be able to come—6.45 for 7 [1] on Wednesday 22d. We mean to hold a sort of Pan-Oxonian synod after dinner & I hope we shall have some fun.
