My dear Sir,

I received, a couple of hours since, by the kindness of Mr Fox, a copy of your Tragedy—for which I return my sincere thanks, regretting so tardy an acknowledgment should follow pleasure so immediate as mine in recognizing the “vivida vis” [1] which pervades it, on its appearance in the “Monthly Repository.”
