My dear Sir

Three days have nearly slipped by since I received your poem, [1] and a family which came to Bath about the same time, claiming all the rights of old acquaintance, has prevented me from enjoying it. You much overrate my judgement: but, whatever it is, you shall have it, before I have redd it so often as I redd Paracelsus–
