767.5. Richard Hengist Horne to EBB
Addendum to The Brownings’ Correspondence, vol. 4.
[London]
Tuesday Aftn [30 June 1840] [1]
My dear Miss Barrett, I’ve just had a note from Miss Mitford wishing me to annualize again. I have written to offer all I can—the engravers and proprietors making the illustration suit what I send—from my back-stock—(but I can’t create the time just now to write to an illustration[)].
I scribble this off to you, for fear you should ask me to do what Miss Mitford asks! and that would finish me.
Yours truly
In haste, or in deliberation

Publication: None traced.
Manuscript: Armstrong Browning Library, Joseph Milsand Archive.
1. Dating based on Miss Mitford having asked Horne to contribute to Finden’s Tableaux (1841), on EBB’s suggestion in letter 767, and on EBB’s response to this letter in letter 768.
