The Company all foreigners—as Venetians offended by his card “resta chez lui.”[1] We had already met most of them at the Princesse de Montenegro’s tea at 5. But at W’s were Metternich & Don Carlos & suite—& the dr & gdr of Meyerbeer.
Polite dwarf offered A. his arm to go into supper—droll effect—(Ct Persico.) RB amused.
