Saturday. Dec 17th.

Arabel told me last night that Miss H M was expected at R C at three. We did not leave it until four. What an escape!

A letter or rather note waiting at home for me, from Mrs. Boyd,—conveying a message from Mr. Boyd. His love, & he hoped that I wd. soon be able to go & see him. He said much the same thing to me yesterday. Could I not spend a whole day with him as usual, soon? I suppose he must really wish it.
