Thursday. Dec 22d.

A note from Eliza enforcing a proposition which she made to Bro yesterday, about their (Annie & all) sleeping here, on the night of the puppet show. I wrote an assent. A note enclosed from Mrs. Boyd. In it she says that Miss Mushet is plainer than she was, but “just as amiable as ever”. If she was & is amiable, how did Mr. Boyd’s coolness towards her, arise? and why should it not be thawed away now? I shall not like going to R C—But I said that before.

Finished the Hippolytus, —& began the Supplices of Æschylus. I read a part of it before; but I have left off now my partial habits of reading.

My dear Papa in good spirits.
