Friday Feb 17.

Bummy has proposed of her own accord, to go with me to Malvern, tomorrow, if I like. My yea is soon said. Could not quite finish the copying out on account of a perforce walk. Papa finished Mr. Beverley’s second letter to the Archbishop of York tonight[1]—finished reading it out loud. It is very clever—

1. Robert Mackenzie Beverley, A Second Letter to His Grace the Archbishop of York, on the Present Corrupt State of the Church of England (Beverley, 1832).

2. Two leaves, i.e., four pages, excised.
