My dear friend’s birthday.[1] May God bless him. I said so when I prayed.

Sent my Scholefield, with this line from the Chœphorœ written on the first leaf—

ειθ̓ ειχε φωνην ἐυψρον̓ αγγελου δικην.[2]

That did. Wrote a note besides,—

3. Excision of two-thirds of a page.
