[Evesham—Sunday, 31 July 1859]

Sunday 31st Lovely day. Drove to Stratford before church. All the way we talked of Shakspeare and thought of nothing else during the day or night. We stood over the tomb, studied the bust and read his sonnets to each other all the evening.
