Sunday March 4. A whole week gone. Jamie went as usual to Mr Longfellow’s Wednesday, also he dined there Tuesday which was L’s birthday—58. I went to a party at Kitty Gannett Wells’ for the Howells. Friday Imogen Willis Eddy dined here, party at Whipples to which Jamie went while I stayed at home with Mr Whittier who was very much better in health apparently than he had been.
