[Boston—Friday, 1 March 1867]

Friday for a wonder at home all day in spite of a lovely concert and french lesson—a little tired.

Long farewell visit from Dr Hayes in the afternoon, sat over the fire and talked about the North Pole. Where is the man to send him off again.

Did very little all day—one of the blank times.

Lissie had a capital days work at her studio—child rubbed out and done over entirely will be finished tomorrow for the R. picture.
