[Boston—Monday, 15 April 1867]

Julian spent Sunday Eveg here and Mrs Hawthorne & Rose came to breakfast Monday morning. They are going to leave soon for Europe.

Monday we went to Hamilton & Manchester, found Miss Dodge at home & her mother still ailing—the old woman does certainly look like Dr Franklin.

Today the clouds of dust are brought into subjection by the rain, warm soft and gusty.
