Nov. 4th Just heard of the Election. Our country is saved! Let us be grateful!
Went last night to see Booth & Janauschek in Macbeth—a great performance & grand house. We sat in a box which charmed Mother & Sarah & Lucy Larcom. They seemed to think they had gone to a play for the first time & indeed it was a very rare experience for any of them. It was quite as good as a play for us to see them.
