[Boston—Wednesday, 31 January 1877]

Wednesday 31. Still exquisite weather—for ten days the beauty of the sky and air have been inexpressible! Such moonlight, such mornings, such sunsets.

Went about with E.S.P. during the day, but finding I had a sore throat at night went ignominiously to bed in the hope of being able to have a useful day tomorrow.
