My dear Sir

My Brother arrived here on Tuesday he is in excellent health and spirits, quite delighted with his short stay abroad. He laments much, his anxiety to see us, would not permit him to remain in Town till your arrival, and begs me to say he will soon write to you and thank you for your very kind letters.

The times are indeed distressing, the Sugars may as well be thrown away as sold at so low a price as £10. I shall thank you to return the money £510 to Messrs. B.P.S & Co. also pay into their hands the money you may receive from Plummer with the dividends from the Funds, as I wish to keep my account with them as low as possible. I am convinced that neither you nor Mr. Sharpe will prevail on Mr. C. to settle his a[ccount] without you adopt harsh and unpleasant measures.
