My dear Sir

I received your letter of the 18th of Novr enclosing a copy of a former one. The Bill you drew in favor of my Mother I have accepted. I shall be however obliged to you to draw upon me for the future at Boddington’s house, for reasons I before stated to you. I wish not to have any concern in money matters with Mr. C. I hope you will observe my wish to have no more sugars sent to Newcastle. I trust as H. Plummer has actually quitted this Country for Jamaica, that in a short time he will settle his trust account with you. The times are worse than ever, the 51 hhds. that came by the Hornby sold at £10 a hogshead.

I shall be obliged to you to order someone on the Estates to make me some sweetmeats and send them to the care of Boddings house.
