We beg to mention that a promissory note of the late Saml M Barrett Esq dated in August 1837 for £87/18/0 Sterling has been sent out here for payment by direction of the Executors in England who wish it paid out of Assets in this Country. The note is in favor of Messrs Stubz & Co and Messrs Anderson & Kemble are aware of its correctness. A Statement of it is annexed and we should feel obliged by your remitting to us the amount
