My dear Mr Boyd–

Thank you for Mrs Mathew’s letter. It just came as I was sending a packet to Torquay—& as you told me I might keep the letter, I sent it to Ba; for I know it will please her– I am so glad Mrs Mathews likes it so much–

As for your deceiving Mary & me so much about the bible, I am not quite sure whether we have not every right to be very angry with you for it!– But on some bright day, (I do not say the first) we must go again to see the best copy!– Mary is going to ascertain the exact height & weight of her father’s largest book!– Papa returns to day! We heard from Henrietta yesterday. Ba is rather better–
