Dear Sir

I shall thank you to apply to Doctors Commons for a copy of a Will of a Mr Mowbray who died some time since, when or where I have not been able to discover, he left his property, of considerable amount, to the nearest akin to him, and consequently they are many claimants, among others there is a poor and respectable Man in the village here, who from what I can understand has some pretentions to the property, and is anxious to get a copy of the Will to know some of the particulars and whether it may be worth his while to expend any money to investigating his right. I will thank you to inform me if the business with Barker is finally settled, as I wish to dispose of the Barouche.

Since writing the above I understand Mr Mowbray died in the South and it is conjectured his property lies in the County of Essex.
