My dearest Elizabeth

I can not think the reason you have not wrote to me, in answer to mine, I can only account for it that you mention something about going to Newcastle, I hope I have done nothing to offend you or your Parents, you will excuse me, but after what has passed the least thing alarms me,—I have sold my Hounds, but only one Horse[.] I have been a good deal dissapointed at not selling more Horses—I have not seen Rose[.] He is so much engaged, neither shall I before I leave Town as I can talk with Him much better in Hampshire, next week[.] I recei[ve]d a letter from Aubone Monday last dated the 17th which was very Friendly[.] Pyke was in Town Monday and a party of my old Hunt dined together after the Sale[.] P——h is very Civil at present but how long it will last is very uncertain, I leave Town for Hampshire Tuesday therefore if you are so good as to write you must direct to me at Barton, Risingwood Hants, I saw your Uncle Clarke, at Fathers and He appears a good sort of a man, I am going to meet an army Broker toDay about my commission, I think it would not be advisible for us to do any thing about a House till I have finally set[t]led about that business—I shall not feel myself very Comfortable till I hear from you, till then adieu but believe me
