Dear Sir

Having only just returned to the Country, I have not before had time to write to you on the subject of the rent of Falmouth Wharf. I cannot now however avoid telling you I am much disappointed you have so long postponed the payment of the balance due my Uncles Estate; as far as I can yet see I think the balance is £456 which with Int. up to the 1st of this Month amounts to £485.12.9—I believe so far I am correct. I saw Mr Dewar this day and he tells me his Mother wishes me to take Eight Planters Steers at 14£ a head in part payment, if the Cattle are tolerably good I shall be happy to do so, there will then remain a balance of £373.12.9. you will oblige me by giving me some Idea when this account is likely to be settled for 13 Months have expired.
