Dear Sir

You would oblige me by obtaining a certified copy of the original plat of the Town of Falmouth & to ascertain which lots Titles have already been granted for from the time the Town was first established. I am aware this will be rather a tedious & expensive business, but so many people hold posession of land there without any claim whatever that I wish to set the matter at rest & establish my title to many valuable lots in that Town. If this can be done, you would greatly oblige me[.]

Would you also take out my commission as Magistrate of St James. Sir J Rowe will pay you the necessary fees[.]
