Dear Sir

I have received your favor of yesterdays date– The amount I have paid M Carey on account of the rent is £1200, there is therefore a Balance due of £256. On the Transactions of the Wharf that year we lost £530. and I think we are entitled to some consideration on that account– The price of Planters Stock £14 is certainly much too low and I hope you are inclined to give us a <…> price which I believe to be £16.–

I am sorry to say that independent <of> the Wharf the other concerns have been very injurious and places the Estate of Doman very much in arrears.–
