Dear Sir,

The Search into the Title and disposal of the lots of land at Falmouth has extended to a greater length than I anticipated, and in tracing the sale of the lands there are many deeds which I have had to look through. I must therefore crave your indulg<ence> for some further period. I have found the patents of the lands at and about Falmouth but a plat is referred to (but not specifically as on record) in which the lots are laid out– This I do not find either under the Title of Barrett’s Town or Falmouth or in the name of Barrett. Can you say if actually recorded as if not it will only be possible to make up a plat of the lands sold where diagrams are given– Have you any guide to direct me to the general plat on record.

Yours very truly

Alex W. Aikman——

Saml M Barrett, Esqr
