SD1096. Charles John Moulton-Barrett to Samuel Moulton-Barrett (brother)
Published in The Brownings’ Correspondence, 4, 363 (in part).
Cam.
Sunday Morn. [ca. 1840]
My dear Sam
Acknowledgements of money are most necessary. The 5£. was not required but I’ll retain & repay as soon as possible.—sincere thanks for your kindness. A mule left by Sam Barrett has been treated brutishly, Mr Jump’s boy can explain. “O where & O where” is the packet? its non-arrival is the only explanation of your non-appearance.
Believe me
Affectly Yrs
Storm.–
Address, on integral page: S. M. Barrett Esqr / Cinnamon HIll / St James. Favor by Mr Evans.
