My dearest kind friend–

… But we do not think of taking a Tour—though we shall go for a few days to Donnington Priory to Mr & Mrs Hughes– He has given me a poem for the Tableaux which seems to me the most spirited sunshiny Romance of the middle ages which I have read for a very long time– It is a young girl disguised as a minstrel—& I think a fit accompaniment to our dear Miss Barrett[’]s most touching ballad—his poem having the cheerfulness & health of love which is the chief want of her otherwise exquisite poetry. I think you will like it– …
