Chelsea,

26 july, 1851–

Dear Kenyon,

I am greatly pleased to hear that our man Browning is come among us again; and I should be delighted to meet him at you house: but unluckily we are just packing up for the Country,—not unlikely to be gone the very day after your symposium; which, I know by experience, wd not do at all as a prelibation to the horrors of railway travelling into barbarous places!–

I hope to catch a glance of Browning somewhere before we go,—if he do not come here, and make a trial himself.
