My dear Mr Sherman,

Pray let me return you my very best thanks for your kindness in taking the trouble to explain matters to Smith & Elder. I am sure my brother will feel equally obliged when he hears of it.

There really seems a dreadful vitality in this same Quarterly. I thought I had surely seen the end of it, when two days ago there arrived another number. I suppose it came from the publisher, so I sent it back again as not having been ordered by Mr Browning.

We unite in kindest regards to Mrs Sherman, and believe me
