My dear Miss Heaton

I must have appeared in your eyes a very ungrateful & ungracious sort of woman not to have sooner acknowledged your very kind letter but at the time it reached me I was in London suffering so much from indisposition that I was obliged to come down to Brighton again– I thank you very much for remembering my wish & I shall be enchanted to have the Photograph of dear Robert Browning—that of his wife [i.e., photographs of their Field Talfourd portraits], which I possess is charming—I am going to town next week & my address will be 57 Conduit Street Regent Street & I will call at Mr Talfourds Studio in Sloane Street to see the drawing– I cannot make out the number in your letter, whether 20 or 30 or 90—but I suppose I shall find it. —Should you visit London while I am there, within the next five or six weeks I shall be very glad to see you—& am always dear Miss Heaton
