Mr. Kenyon–

Dear Sir:

Do you remember anything of a wild female American whom you met at a pleasant dinner party at Tavistock House?– If so, do you remember a kind promise you made her to make her acquainted by some means with your glorious friend, Mrs. Browning?–

Since I had the pleasure of seeing you, I have been touring in Ireland and Scotland and have but lately returned to London. I wish greatly to know Mrs. Browning, and must beg of you a letter to her. Mr. Fields assured me you would kindly grant it.

How is Mr. Landor? I completely lost my heart to the grand old man, that day at Dickens’.

If you let me hear from you—please address Miss Clarke—care of Mr. F. Bennoch[,] Blackheath Park. Pardon me if I give you any trouble and believe me, dear Mr. Kenyou, yours most respectfully and sincerely
