Dear Sir,
I have availed myself of the first moment of Leisure since my return to the North, for the purpose of looking into your accounts with Mr Clarke, & have called for the assistance of Mr Saml Stokoe the old Clerk to whom you referred– I must trouble you to send me a copy of the Statement subjoined to Messrs Clayton’s & Dunn’s Letter to you of the 9h Nov 1837, when I will communicate to you the result of our Investigation.
